Notifications
Staff device alerts, optional client texts, and reminder emails before a visit. Booking alerts fire as soon as someone joins or books.

Device notifications and Bookings & waitlist control staff alerts on this phone.
Client texts (SMS) send booking confirmations, reminders, and related visit updates when we have a phone number and the client opted in on the public booking, queue, or waitlist form — once Twilio is configured on the platform and you turn texts on. Clients can reply STOP to opt out.
Client emails (for the selected location) send appointment reminder emails when we have the client’s address. Choose hours before the visit, or turn reminders off.
Common questions
When do booking alerts send?
As soon as someone joins the waitlist, books, or cancels. Staff get the in-app alert (and a lock-screen ping if enabled). The client also gets a confirmation email if we have their address — branded with your studio logo and/or name from Branding & Appearance, showing the visit time, service, staff, and directions (no price or duration). Group bookings send one confirmation (and one reminder) listing everyone, not a separate email per person.
What about my first online booking?
The first time a client books on your public page, the owner gets a short congratulations email instead of the usual new-appointment notice. Other staff still get the regular Bookings & waitlist alert. Later bookings use the usual notice.
How do I turn on client texts?
Under Client texts (SMS), turn on Send client texts after Ecloras Support has connected Twilio. You can separately enable booking confirmations and reminders. When texts are on, Start service on Queue can also text the client that they’re up next — only if they opted in to transactional SMS on the public form.
Do clients have to agree to texts?
Yes for automated SMS. On the public booking, Get in Today, or waitlist form, when they enter a mobile number they see an unchecked consent box for transactional texts about their visit. If they leave it unchecked, the booking still works — we just don’t text them. Providing a phone number alone is not consent.
How do I get lock-screen alerts for new bookings?
Tap Enable notifications on this page (or when prompted after installing the app), and leave Bookings & waitlist on.
Where did Hours reminder settings go?
Client reminder emails are here under Client emails. Hours is only schedules and booking rules.
