Services
Services is your menu — duration, price, icons, photos, and nested options. Each staff member can offer a different subset with their own prices under Staff.
This guide matches what you see in Ecloras today. Tap ? next to a page title anytime for a short summary and a link back here.
Services (Settings → Services & Products) is the shop menu clients pick from. Duration (minutes) and the menu price drive calendar math and the default booking amount. 0 minutes is allowed — use that for an add-on that should not lengthen the visit.
Each staff member can offer a different subset of the menu and set their own price, chair time, and transition minutes after a visit (for example one charges $45 for a men’s haircut and takes 30 minutes, another charges $60 and takes 45). Configure that under Settings → Team & Access → Team → that person → Services & prices. Blank fields use the shop menu / Hours defaults. On Book / Add to queue and on the public site, clients only see providers who offer the service they picked — and when one person adds several services (for example a haircut and a wax), only providers who offer every service on that ticket.
On the public booking Services step, clients pick by name (and options) — prices stay off that list. The running Summary shows the total once a provider is chosen, and notes that they pay their provider at the visit (each provider sets their own services and rates).
On the public site homepage menu, the service list can still show price (and option count for nested services); the provider step shows who is taking bookings.
Add an optional description clients see on your site, up to three icons before the name (for example scissors and shower for a cut with shampoo), and an optional photo. Calendar color is optional and only used when Calendar colors is set to By service — Auto picks a muted color if you don’t choose one. If a service has more than one version, add options — for example Haircut with Haircut only or Haircut and shampoo. On the public booking Services step the parent shows as 2 options; clients tap it to choose a version. Each option has its own time and price for the Summary total.
On a visit or at Checkout, staff can Add another service for extras done at the chair — as many line items as you need, including another of the same service (for example two haircuts on one ticket). Those extras go on the ticket and add their minutes to the booked time. Checkout can assign a different provider on each service if more than one person worked the ticket.
Import CSV adds many services at once (Name required; Duration, Price, Description optional).
Turn Active off to hide a service from public booking without deleting it. While Public waitlist is on, the public website hides the Services section so the menu does not show yet.
Common questions
Why are there no public times?
Turn on Online booking under Settings → Floor & Booking, add at least one active service (or nested option), assign a staff login to this location, and set their working days on Hours.
Can I import a service menu?
Yes — on Services, tap Import CSV. Use a header row with Name (required) and optional Duration, Price, Description.
How do nested options work?
Edit a service and tap Add option. Each option can have its own details, minutes, and price. On the booking Services step, clients see the service name with how many options, then tap to choose a version and read its details. The Summary total uses the option’s price. Staff booking uses the same list. Nested options share the parent calendar color unless you pick one on the option.
What is Calendar color on a service?
An optional muted color used on Calendar when Floor & Booking → Calendar colors is By service. Auto is the default — you do not have to pick colors for the menu to work.
How do I make a service not taxable?
Edit the service and turn Taxable off. Taxable on means Ecloras asks Stripe Tax for the normal treatment — Stripe still decides whether tax applies where you operate.
Can two people charge different prices for the same service?
Yes. Open Settings → Team & Access → Team → that person → Services & prices. Turn the service on and enter their price (or leave blank to use the menu price). You can also set their chair minutes and transition time after the visit. Turn a service off if they don’t offer it. On the booking site, the Summary total uses the provider they pick.
What does No preference mean for clients?
On the public booking page, clients can choose No preference so Ecloras matches the first available provider. Once a time is picked, the Details summary shows that provider’s name with a First available note, and the total uses their rate — not a generic menu price. Confirmation after booking also names who was assigned. Get in today bookings use an estimated start and arrival wording instead of a fixed appointment line.
Can I put two of the same service on one ticket?
Yes. After you pick the main service, use Add another service and choose it again. Handy for extras on one person. Every service on that person’s ticket stays with one provider — they must offer all of them (for example a haircut and a wax). For a dad plus kids (separate people), use Who → Multiple people (or saved people after phone lookup) on the public booking page — each person picks services and can pick their own provider (or No preference). With No preference, the group can be split across providers so everyone can go sooner; the same provider still stacks back-to-back.
