Calendar is the shop book for the selected location.

Day shows tall hour lanes with a column per staff member. Week shows the same lanes across seven days. Visit blocks are large salon-style cards: time range, client name, service, phone when on file, visit notes when they fit, and a status chip when the visit isn’t just Booked. Calendar colors (Settings → Floor & Booking → Floor & queue) keep the current studio look by default, or color blocks by service or by provider so a busy day is easier to scan. Status still shows as a chip (Confirmed, Needs checkout, Cancelled, No show, Walkout) — color is for who/what, not for whether the visit is paid. The book scrolls with the page — times outside each person’s Hours are grayed. You can still book those times; Save asks you to confirm first. Staff can also double-book the same chair when needed (for example a color processing alongside a men’s cut) — Save warns and lets you book anyway. Public online booking still prevents clients from double-booking. Tap an empty time to book; tap a block to open the visit card (notes, change staff even after Completed). List is Upcoming / All in a simple list — same visits, easier to scan.

Use Book anytime. Choose Blocked time for lunch, personal time, or cleaning so nobody is booked over it.

On a visit, add extra services if they added one at the chair. Name and phone live on the client profile — tap Edit client on the visit card. Cash out from Queue when payment tracking is on (not the visit card). Use Walkout if they leave without service — pick a reason (no show, cancelled, left, or other). Confirm, Void, and Refund stay under ⋯.

Public booking times come from Hours, including any schedule exceptions you add there for one-off days.

Common questions

Where did Appointments go?

The old Appointments page is Calendar → List. Day and Week are the salon-style time book.

How do I book a time?

On Day or Week, hover an empty half-hour and tap the +. Or tap Book. On Day, each column is a staff member. When more than one person takes bookings, Book defaults to First available — the next open chair that day.

Why is part of the day gray?

Gray means outside that person’s regular Hours (or a closed day). You can still book those times — when you Save, you’ll get a popup asking if you want to book anyway. To open a one-off day with different hours, add a schedule exception on Hours.

Can I book two clients at the same time?

Yes, inside the app. If that person already has someone in the window, Save asks whether to book anyway (double-book) or move to the next free time. Public online booking still blocks double-books so clients can’t stack over each other.

How do I see early morning or late night?

Scroll the page on Day or Week. The full day is on the page; it opens near morning hours.

Why is a day empty?

There are no appointments that start that day, or they were cancelled.

How do I block lunch?

Book a time and set Type to Blocked time. Choose a start and end. On an existing visit, Type is hidden — remove it and book a block instead.

How do I stay open later than Hours?

On Hours, expand that person, open Schedule Exceptions, add the date with the extra hours — it autosaves. Calendar picks it up when you return to the tab.

How do I change who did the visit?

Open the visit, pick a different person under Staff, then Save. That works after the visit is Completed too — handy when the wrong chair was recorded. If that person already has someone at the same time, you’ll get a warning — Book anyway to double-book, or Move to next free.

Why are calendar appointments different colors?

Only if you chose By service or By provider under Settings → Floor & Booking → Calendar colors. Studio theme (the default) keeps the usual branded blocks. Auto assigns a muted color when a service or person doesn’t have one picked; you can override that on Services or Team. Saving a custom service or staff calendar color turns on By service or By provider for you if you were still on Studio theme. Blocked time (lunch, personal) follows By provider colors. Cancelled, no-show, and walkout visits stay muted. Status (Arrived, Needs payment, Checked out, and similar) shows as a small icon or chip on the block — it does not change the appointment color you chose.

How do I edit a client’s name or phone?

On the visit card, tap Edit client to open their profile. Name and phone are not edited on the visit itself.

How do I cash someone out?

Open Sales → Needs payment, or open the visit from Queue and tap Checkout. Add extras if needed, tap Checkout on the bottom bar, then pick Card, Cash, or Other. Card opens tip and card number fields. Complete checkout, then No receipt or Email receipt.

What is Walkout?

Walkout means the appointment ended without the service being completed. Pick a reason (editable under Settings → Floor & Booking → Floor & queue). It is the same flow from Queue, the visit card, or Checkout → ⋯ → Walkout. On a walkout visit card, date, time, staff, and service stay locked — use Rebook to schedule the next visit. It is not for unpaid completed work — finish Checkout with payment or a discount/comp.
